Achievements

Achievements are medals for things you do on bemy.fans: posting, joining in, going live and growing your following. bemy.fans works them out from your history, so you never have to claim one.

Where to find them

Open your profile (on a phone: More, then your name at the top) and tap the achievements row under your name. It shows your latest medals and how many you have, like 7 achievements ›. Everyone's profile has one once they've earned something.

You can also open Achievements from More: in the tab bar on a phone, or in the side menu on a computer.

On your own achievements page you see everything you can earn:

  • Earned medals, with the date you earned them.
  • A progress bar on the ones you haven't got yet, like "12 of 30 days". For posting weeks in a row, the bar shows the run you're on now. If you had a longer run before, you also see it, like Your best: 6 weeks in a row.
  • A count at the top of how many you have out of how many you can earn.
  • How rare each one is, like "8% of members".

What you can earn

Creating (creators):

  • Hello, world: your first post.
  • Regular, Familiar face and Community pillar: posting on 7, 30 or 100 different days. Several posts on one day count as one day.
  • Week after week and Steady voice: posting in 4 or 12 weeks in a row. A week runs Monday to Sunday, and one post in a week is enough. A week with no posts starts the count again.
  • On air: hosting your first live.
  • Regular broadcaster: hosting 10 lives.
  • First follower, Getting noticed, Rising and Headliner: your first follower, then 10, 100 and 1,000 followers.

Community (everyone):

  • Joined in: your first comment.

Only lives you host count, not ones you join as a guest, and very short lives (under a minute) may not count. See Go live.

Posting is for creators, so the posting achievements are in Creating. Fans can earn Joined in, in Community, and creators can earn everything in both groups. Whatever kind of account you have, you keep everything you've already earned, and switching your account type doesn't take any away.

Posting regularly (creators)

Only posts you write count: not the automatic activity posts for your achievements, lives and events, and not posts a moderator removed. Days and weeks follow your own time zone (bemy.fans uses the one your phone or computer is set to). If you delete a post later, you keep any achievement you've already earned.

How you earn them

bemy.fans checks every few minutes, and straight away when you open your own achievements page. When you earn one:

  • You get an alert. Achievements are never emailed.
  • If you're a creator, a post can go in the feed for the people who see your activity. If you earn several at once, only one is posted. Fans' achievements are never posted in the feed.

Creators: to stop these posts, open Settings, go to Activity in the feed and turn off Post new achievements. Your achievements still show on your profile. If your activity is set to Off, nothing is posted at all. See Activity in the feed.

When bemy.fans adds new achievements, you also get the ones your past activity has already earned. They come together in a single alert, like 3 new achievements, and nothing is posted in the feed. After that, new ones work as above.

Achievements are just for fun: missing a day or a week never costs you anything, and you keep what you've earned.

Who can see them

Other members see the achievements you've earned, but not your progress toward the rest.
